Nissan Truck History: Nissan is the second largest Japanese automobile manufacturer after Toyota. It was founded in 1914 as the Kwaishinsha Motorcar Works became the Nissan Motor Company in 1934.
Nissan built two lines of commercial trucks in Japan using diesel motors provided by Renault. Their pickup truck started out as a Datsun Cabstar in 1968 and evolved into a Nissan in the 1980s. In 2004 Nissan began building their first full-size pickup truck for the United States and called it the Titan.
