The hot rod is a product of innovative backyard mechanics who found that a big engine in a lightweight body was fun to drive, and when they removed the roof it became known as a roadster. It started with the modification Model A and Model T Ford bodies found in junk yards and continues today with most anything on wheels. Hot rods and roadsters are as American as baseball and apple pie and have become a symbol of independence and free expression for the young and old alike. There are hundreds of hot rods and roadsters listed for sale on AntiqueCar.com every year and these are some of our favorites.
