A bead roller is used to shape and strengthen metal.
1. We use a Mittler Bead roller to create our beads.
2. Mittler has every bead you will want.
3. To make a flat bead to strengthen a metal edge, we start by bending over the edge. We make several passes to complete the bend.
4. Here it is again. | |
5. Then we do the same with a thinner bead to make the bend tighter.
6. We use a flat roller to finish the bead and make it stronger.
|
|
7. To put a bead in the middle of a metal panel for strength, start with light pressure on the foot controller.
8. Then we repeat the pass, applying more pressure.
9. Do not put pressure on the panel. Just let it glide.
10. Here is a finished 1/4 round bead.
11. Here is a step bead. | |
12. Here is a 1/8th step from a different angle.
13. Here is a spoiler roll.
14. This is the spoiler roll from a different angle.
15. This is an example of a flat bead. |
