Description

The 39 Master Deluxe Business Coupe had essentially the same body as the 37-38 models but was reworked just enough to give it a fresh look. One of the most noticeable changes was the new front clip that gave it a distinct resemblance to the Cadillac. This particular example was transformed into a street rod that retains its original unrestored grille. The heart of this rod is a 327ci V8 that was rebuilt before installing it 35,655 miles ago and is estimated to put out 300+ hp. It is fed via an Edelbrock 4bbl carb and hi-rise Performer intake, it is sparked by a Mallory electronic ignition and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its performance dual exhaust system. Power is put to the Ford 9” posi rear end via a performance built T400 auto tranny. It has been upgraded to a 4 wheel independent suspension with 4 wheel power disc brakes and it was also upgraded with power steering. It was restored about 15 years ago at which time it was repainted in a gorgeous Metallic White that just sparkles in the sun. The interior was redone about 6 or 7 years ago in a gorgeous 2-tone cream and tan leather interior. It has 8-way power seats with power lumbar adjustments and multiple heat settings. There is a gorgeous Billet Specialties steering wheel that is accented with billet cranks, knobs, wiper arms as well as a billet gear selector. It was upgraded with Vintage Air a/c, heat and defrost. It retains all of its original glass which is why you will see some delaminating in the vent windows as well as a small crack in one of the windshields. The paint has some small flaws which are noticeable upon close inspection. You will notice a few spots that were touched up, a couple of spots that are spider webbing and the jambs being a weak spot. It is, however, an all steel car that looks amazing from 3 feet away. It’s fitted with a sweet set of Eagle Alloy billet wheels that really give it a great stance. Everything works perfectly with the exception of the a/c which is in need of recharging. The car is geared to cruise comfortably at 65-70 mph and is an absolute pleasure to drive. We have priced it to sell so if you like what you see please reach out before it is too late!
