Volkswagen Logo Volkswagen began in the 1930s and the Beetle was its most popular model over the years. The Beetle was designed to be an affordable car for the common man by Ferdinand Porsche under orders from Adolf Hitler. The Beetle was reintroduced in 1994 as the 'Concept One' car, followed by the 2002 Phaeton, Touareg, Jetta and a new Passat. Volkswagen is publically own company. |
