Stutz Logo The Stutz Motor Company opened its doors 1912, closed in 1935, reopened in 1968 and finally closed for good in 1978. The Stutz cars were known as cars for the rich but Stutz himself had a hard time staying afloat and sold to Allen Ryan, who had the same problems and sold to Frederick E. Moskowic, who ran out of money and closed the doors in 1935. James O'Donnell bought the Stutz name in 1968 to build the Stutz Blackhawk but he too ran out of money in 1978. |
