REO Logo REO stands for Ransom E. Olds who became famous for cars such as the REO 'Speed-Wagon', the 1927REO Flying Cloud and the 1931 REO Royale. In 1907 Olds was among the successful American automobile manufacturers but he could not keep up with Ford and General Motors and the Great Depression was the final straw for his car business. However Olds also built trucks and World War II kept his truck business alive. REO joined the White Motor Company in 1957 who then joined the Diamond T Truck company in 1967. Diamond T Trucks went out of business in 1975. |
