Essex Logo Essex started in a leased factory in Detroit and a primary design goal was an enclosed passenger area. The 1922 Essex was only $1,496 dollars and even cheaper than an open touring car by 1925 so it was very affordable. The Essex and Hudson were a lot alike but Hudson produced both until 1932. In 1932 Essex produced the Essex Terraplane and then dropped the 'Essex' name. |
