Peerless History: Peerless Motors began producing "De Dion-Boutonniere machines'" under license from the French Company in 1900. They were quality cars and soon became knows as one of the "Three P's" that included Packard and Pierce-Arrow. However their quality gradually fell and in the 1930's the company stopped making cars in favor of brewing beer under the Carling's Black Label.
