Description

This is an extremely nice 1926 Ford Model T. It was restored by the previous owner, who owned it for 5 years preceding my purchase. He did some updating and modernizing during the restoration to make the vehicle more enjoyable and reliable.
The following is according to the previous owner when I bought it...
It has a rebuilt engine with aluminum pistons(performed by Model Engine. In addition, it has a modern day distributor conversion, new kevlar transmission bands, new transmission oil screen, new transmission oil slingers, new tires and tubes, new tachometer, new gauges, new radiator, new electric fan, and new front wheel bearings.
This truck has both electric start and hand crank start(a fun way to start in front of a crowd!). It also has a convenient and easily accessible fuel shut off lever and small stainless mirrors for safety. It even has an old time sounding electric ayhooga horn.
The truck is in very nice condition as depicted in photos. It has always been kept in a garage and on a battery tender while we owned it. The frame is very good, the paint is very good and the wood looks fantastic. It has some drips like every other Model T, only drips for short period after engine has been running (how can it not with suspension flip top oilers.) All the lights, including brake lights work. It should be noted that the temp gauge has never worked since we owned it. It never bothered us enough to see why it did not work.
This truck is great for parades, car shows and even ice cream runs!
The truck starts and runs good. It stops like a Model T. And like many of the old Model T's there is no odometer(was an option back then). Obviously, this is a used 93 year old truck, this truck does not come with a warranty of any kind.
Reason for selling? We don't use it nearly enough and are looking to downsize. We decided to let it go. However, note that we do not need to sell this truck, so if it doesn't sell, we will just hang on to it. Asking $8500.00.
