Description

1971 Ford F100 Short-bed 2wd

For sale, $17,500. Beautiful, frame-up F100 restoration completed in 2012.
• 460, refreshed on the top end. Heads checked and cleaned at machine shop, valve job.
• Rebuilt C6 transmission.
• New, larger cam (Nice slight rumble)
• New Holley 4 barrel intake, and 770 street avenger carb.
• Ceramic coated headers
• New dual exhaust (mostly hidden, but looks so good, wish that it was easier to see)
• New windshield and sliding back window, reused side glass.
• Rebuilt much of the steering column, which seems to have come from a slightly newer model truck (1973-78??). Other than the extra Emergency flasher switch, it is a perfect match to the truck.
• Used the ‘extra emergency flasher switch’ that is mounted on the column as a switch for the under-rail bed lights.
• New paint job with all new Ranger trim.
• Cragar old school chrome wheels, 8” in front and 10” in rear. Tires tuck beautifully under the truck with no rubbing whatsoever.
• Installed new front and rear sway bars. Truck did not have before the resto, handles much more like a modern truck (80’s to 90’s)
• New steering gearbox, nice tight steering as it should be. Drives straight and true with no play. Power steering.
• Rebuilt 4 wheel drum brakes. All new parts inside the drums.
• Installed aftermarket intermittent wiper switch, slightly hidden, that works great.
• New retro style stereo. Looks old school, but plays thumb drives, MP3, 5 disc CD changer under seat.
• Have only installed one speaker in the dash, but radio is capable of running door speakers.
I have many pictures showing the rebuild process. We have driven the truck some 10,000 miles since then, the odometer showing around 14,000. Questions, or if interested call: 423-261-2371. This is a landline, so no texts.
