Description

1965 L78 Corvette Stingray Racer. Legit "real deal" big block Corvette. With the most desired and rare color Tuxedo Black "AA code".

This car also has the "go fast" drag rear end gears code "FC". These were the predecessors to the L88. Just over 300 of these racers made.

The car has been confirmed over and over by only professionals, collectors and most of all a NCRS judge with over 25 years of judging experience, who specializes in 65-67 big block C2's. You will not be disappointed by it's authenticity.

Unfortunately hardships forces sale of my AWESOME 65 L78 code AA black big block vette with only 46k miles on it. You will not find another "FC" racer anywhere near this price. I actually only have found one currently for sale and they're asking $140,000 for same optioned C2 racer but in "undesired RED exterior paint". I priced my car to sell very fast and only entertaining serious buyers. They price is more then fare for this rare beautiful beast!! Please, no low ballers, the price is fixed for quick sell.

Integrity taken in describing my car. The car is in DRIVER condition. There are 2 scratches on the exterior panel behind
drivers seat (my mechanic made trying to put the hard top on by himself) where the hardtop rest. Stock mirror frame good but the mirror glass fell out and will need new mirror glass replace. This car is ULTRA RARE at a VERY fair price. The AA code (tuxedo black) with L78 option and the SUPER FAST RARE ordered FC (Chevy's version of drag pack) rear end. On a C2 body and you have everything but the L88 title.

PERIOD CORRECT L78 motor block but not matching, please read motor info:
NCRS judge evaluated and details of motor in his words; "Short block 3855962. The stamping I read "EG", Very light-barely able to read correctly - I might be wrong on the "G"). The vin on the engine, read correctly, is 6 "Z" 1 4 8 ***(Z = Fremont CA plant). It is the same short block as the L78 in the Corvette." REAL L78 motor however born several months after my car. Still a valuable motor if you ever wanted to trade out to do a correct NCRS restore. All key factors showing authenticity of big block racer including the rear axle stamp code. FC.
