AUSTIN FX4 BRITISH TAX - PROJECT CAR or for PARTS - late 1950's - 1960's PLEASE NOTE that I had to fill in a year on their template so the ad could go through. Below I will explain. NO MOTOR History, and DMV information: I've had this taxi for 9 years. There are NO PAPERS, but there should be no lien interest. I have CA tags that expired in 1990. Details: *VIN Number and Year: one of the last numbers is partially obliterated, and I believe it is either a '3' or a '5,' and that is why I have given the range of years, it shouldn't matter because the car did not change for many years. I know that it is from about 1958 to early 1960's. The characteristic orange 'rabbit ears' on the top sides are what definitely helped determine the range of years; *lights/lenses, and their chrome housings are there *wheels are on it, and there is a spare; tires are deteriorated, and it can only be towed on a full trailer *the dash is ripped apart, but most or all of the gauges are there; some or all wiring is there *heater unit *the old fare chart is in it *partial, but cracked 'Cavern Club' poster is displayed next to it; this is the club the Beatles debuted at, but it does not feature them *the jump seats, and back seat are in nice condition...there might be one slit on one of them; front seats have some rips *running boards and both bumpers *exterior mirrors are there *interior mostly tan *headliner is ripped *all doors, and shut pretty good except the front passenger is a bit difficult, but you can close it *all windows intact, and in decent shape, including the slider between the front and back; gaskets need replacing; I don't recall seeing any water damage on the interior to indicate water ever got in it *accomodates 2 batteries; the old ones are there, but they are dead *some corrosion along the top lip, and bottom edge; according to my research, these areas, especially the top lip where the rain runs along is a typical area of corrosion for all of these vehicles *floor is intact, and I don't believe there are any holes *chrome hardware, including the ash trays, and door handles; a bit of pitting, but overall looks decent *the trunk opens and closes pretty good *hood is intact, and grill is there; some denting to the grill, but can be pounded out *back British license is on it, and I have CA personalized plates *the body id overall in good shape, and may have had *NO MANUAL I have MORE PHOTOS if you need them. Shipping and transportation: You are fully responsible for making all arrangements in picking this up and/or shipping it in a reasonable amount of time. Please make sure you have a sturdy trailer, or toy hauler, straps, and anything else you will need to secure it. I'VE BEEN GIVEN NOTICE TO REMOVE IT, and MUST DO SO VERY SOON FINANCIAL TERMS:
I prefer CASH ONLY, but I see they only have accommodations for Pay Pal, and credit cards. Please contact me and we'll discuss. You must have a stellar public record.
Absolutely NO WIRE TRANSFERS. The vehicle is sold 'AS IS,' and to the best of my knowledge, everything I have stated is correct. I am a fair and honest person, and I expect the same from you. The ad is also about to be shortly relisted on Ebay, and you'll be able to see my reputation. Just do a search, and it will come up.
