The paint undergoes an interesting color change-from black to purple to blue-depending on the light. Ghosted flames on the hood and side vents provide a striking accent. The car's most notable feature-the Maltese Falcon graphic on the bottom side of the hood-was designed and painted by Longbranch Paint in Toronto. The rest of the engine compartment has been detailed, and the engine itself freshened. The engine is still an original L48, but it has been updated with an Edelbrock manifold and a gear-driven timing system. Ceramic headers feed the aftermarket side-pipes. The suspension has been entirely stripped, and worn pieces replaced. The whole underside has been resprayed, mostly with matching Indiglo Pearl paint. The 18-inch TRW chrome wheels have 255/45-18 on front and 255/40-18 on the rear, the tires are new. The leather on the Duntov-style steering wheel has been reconditioned and re-dyed in matching white. If your looking for a show winner this is the car as it has won numerous trophies in its class. The most recent was September 12th this year when it took first place in it’s class at the Markham Mainstreet Classic Car Show. There were close to 300 cars that day that were part of the judging.
