This is an antique car that my uncle (who is a now retired mechanic) started but never finished rebuilding. It has been passed on to me. There are a number of new parts that have been bought but never installed or assembled. Other things have been welded and repaired while the rest has sat in a garage. The Thing itself was stored outside for the last 15 years under tarp, wood and some tin roofing (on its wheels). New parts were stored indoors in a garage along with the engine and some other old parts. New items: Gas tank, 4 fenders, body panel under all 4 doors, front axle beam. Some of the work that has been done: Brakes, brake line, chassis, shocks were overhauled 15 yrs ago and has not been used.The floor panel has been repaired and some Tremclad has been applied.Other info:1600cc Engine-needs an overhaul.The transmission is in good shape.The Thing needs a lot of welding done on it. A reinforcing bar (which you will see in the photos) was temporarily welded to prevent the car from warping/twisting while it was being worked on. It will most likely need a new folding roof. All 4 doors are rusted and need welding. Sits on the old wheels (5 nuts, not 4, wheels)I have plenty of photos so email or call me and I will give you the link. There is at least 1000$ (That was what was paid at the time 15 years ago from the dealer) worth of new parts that are in near excellent condition.
