Virtually every part in the car rebuilt / replaced as factory as possible. The car has had body work and upholsterybut not a frame off, nor rechromed. A safe and dependable antique car was my primary goal first and foremost. Virtually every part works...tube radio, clock, gauges, brakes, new steel brake lines and fittings, new stainless steel gas tank, steering linkage, axle, universal, clutch, charging system cooling, and exhaust. Overhauled engine is perfect, and just good and broken in. When you look over other Fords like this one...ask if all those things have been done I describe above. If it hasn't, I don't care how pretty it looks, it would be dangerous to drive around in. Moreover...if it is a frame off resto, it is so expensive that you don't dare drive it anywhere...but haul it around on a trailer to shows. The whole idea, the real fun of owning one of these cars is to drive it and meet all the people who owned one, or who's Father owned one. It makes you feel popular, and very appreciated and 'thanked' for saving a piece of American engineering know how. Henry Ford wanted to offer a powerful V8 that was affordable to the common man....like the luxury cars had back then. But he wanted it cast in one piece. It required his 'brain trust' and millions of dollars before the first successful casting. That amount of money in the 30's would be in the billions today. These engines in perfect condition like this one is a rare and valuable working antique worth the price of the car all by itself. Ask yourself if one of today's engines will still be running perfectly 60 years from now. ARe you kidding? it will be scrap aluminum in less than 10 years...a bona-fide plasticky, tin can clunker. Buy yourself a real car, and have enormous, popular kid on the block fun wherever you go!
iI is Unfortunate, but scam artists still target classic car ads but they do so I personally require anyone interested in this car to provide me with name, address, and place of employment. anyone wanting to remain anonymous, to hide behind a smoke screen of obscurity will be deleted immediately after reporting him as a scam attempt to the authorities, and to the spam identifier program, and permanently blocked. You get this way after hearing from well over 60 or 70 scam artists.
