Once produced in large numbers, only a few remain on the road today. International was one of the Last manufactures in the US to retain the Pre-War Design that now sets them apart from all other 48 and 49 Trucks. This is a great original example of what Proud Americans could produce after the war. The story goes, that the original owner bought the truck and used only on his small farm in east/central Mass. until he went to the military and sold it to his buddy who owned the local service station. The second owner retired in the 70's and sold it to a younger man as he was going to restore it. This is pretty much as you see it today. The whole time the truck was never titled and never left the local area. The restoration has held up well. The Green and Black Color Scheme looks great on the truck. The bed box and tailgate are solid and look good. Please remember this truck is a nearly a 60 years old, and is not perfect, But a good driver. The Original Green Diamond flat head six starts every time runs smooth as silk, It drives and stops as it should. All lights and gauges work. No hard to find parts are missing, All Chrome and Stainless are in good condition (This Grille is a Work of Art) The cab interior looks like it did in 1948. The NADA guide list this truck at $24,600 high retail, $12,750 average retail. I think it is a better than average truck but that's where we have it priced.
