This is an original 1954 Ford Customline, 2 Door, 239 engine and Fordomatic automatic transmission. The car has always been stored in a garage. It was painted in the early 80's. Car was stored until 2003, and sold at an estate auction. The restoration was completed in July this year. It is currently licensed, insured and we are driving it to shows. The car has had patch panels installed above both rear wheel wells, this was also done in the early 80's. I have included pictures of the floorpan prior to the Dynamat installation. The floorboards and trunk are solid, no rust. This car is not perfect, but it is a very good old car.
Interior and Exterior
* Interior original except for new carpet and headliner.
* Insulated with Dynamat throughout from the firewall to the trunk.
* All paint and dash instruments are original. Radio has been converted to 12 volt and clock has been recalibrated both by a Texas company. The face of both the radio and clock have been rechromed.
* Bob Drake 12 volt original harness conversion, no step down resisters.
* New heater core and new heat control valve
* New 12 volt heater motor
* New 12 volt electric wipers 2-speed
* New headlight switch
* New dimmer switch
* New door step plates
* Original chrome looks like new
* All stainless has been buffed
* New molding clips
* New trunk mat
* New license plate light
Chassis - Completely restored, underneath and under hood painted with Dupont Semi-Gloss.
* All suspension, bushings, bearings, brakes and hardware, differential parts new.
* New rear springs
* New front springs
* Stainless steel brake lines
* Stainless steel gas lines
* New gas tank
Engine
* 239 Engine rebuilt in early 80's.
* Fordomatic Automatic Transmission, works great. Car has been driven approximately 500 miles since work completed in July 2008.
* Completely new aluminized exhaust system.
* Includes a new extra rebuilt automatic transmission
* All new hoses and belts
Tires
* Less than 1,000 miles on tires. Goodyear Super Cushions original tires, not Coker.
