It is a real head turner. I am constantly stopped by people asking for more details about the history of this great truck. From what I understand, 1969 is the first year that Toyota started importing small trucks to the US en mass. The orientation of the radio buttons and the hood release are for right hand drive. To meet US regulations they added turn signals on the hood. Basically all they did when they started exporting was slide the steering and in-dash ignition to the left side.
