Description
The Ford Mustang is an American automobile, originally based on the Ford Falcon compact. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9, 1964, and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on April 17, 1964, and via all three American television networks on April 19. It was one of the most successful product launch in automotive history.
The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market.. The Mustang remains in production today after 43 years and several revisions.

Package: Ford Mustang Boss 302
The Boss 302 Mustang was produced to meet homologation requirements mandated by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in order for Ford to compete in Trans-Am competition. Ford had to produce at least 500 street versions of what it would compete with in SCCA Trans-Am competition.
Year: 1970
This body style was produced only in 1969 and 1970. Ford switched to a larger design for 1971 through 1973. The 1970 Mustang can be distinguished from the 1969 by the lack of rear quarter air
scoops and only two headlights instead of four.

Body: SportsRoof
SportsRoof was Fords brand name for "fastback." The SportsRoof moniker was used for 1969 onwards for sharply included rear-deck coupes that were their "sporty" body design.
Engine: V8 302 CID 4V Boss
The Boss 302 engine is a racing small-block V8 from Ford Motor Company. It was a hybrid of two small-block Ford V8s - It used the block of the small Ford Windsor engine and the heads of the larger Ford Cleveland engine. It was created for the SCCA's Trans-Am road racing series, and was fitted to the Boss 302 Mustang.
The high nickel content block has a thicker deck, cylinder walls and beefy 4-bolt main caps. It is easily identified by screw in freeze plugs on the side of the block, pent roof valve covers, very wide heads and a very wide intake manifold. The connecting rods are heavy, high strength steel forgings made for high rpm use. The crankshaft is a cross drilled high strength steel forging. The cam and lifters are high lift solid mechanical units.
The unique, wide, large port Cleveland style 4V heads with poly angle, semi-hemi style valve placement are what give the Boss 302 its unique high power capabilities. Early units were typically characterized by very large intake and exhaust valves sitting in a small quench style combustion chamber. Huge intake ports made certain that the engine only "woke up" above 4000 rpm.... At racing speed the engine's performance was quite remarkable. The motor has a unique sound as a result of its solid lifter configuration.
