Kaiser & Kaiser-Frazer History (Continued from top)
1953 Kaiser Manhattan Henry J. Kaiser, of Kaiser Steel, founded Kaiser Motors in 1946, just after the war. Kaiser Motors, also know as Kaiser-Frazer, was located in Willow Run, Michigan. Kaiser teamed up with Joseph W. Frazer in 1945 to build 'Kaisers' and 'Frazers'. The two models had the same bodies and power trains in 1947. Kaiser also built the 'Henry J' and sold it through Sears-Roebuck catalogs under the Allstate name. In 1953 Kaiser acquired Jeep and Willys from the Willys-Overland Corporation and then cancelled the Kaiser and Willys two years later. In 1963 Kaiser became Kaiser-Jeep, who sold to American Motors in 1970. | ||
