Pierce-Arrow Logo The 1903 Pierce-Arrow was a large, luxurious vehicle for the rich. The Pierce-Arrow was a massive, solid, powerful vehicle that became so popular Pierce changed the company name to The Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company 1n 1908. It became the car of presidents and a status symbol to the wealthy. In 1928 Studebaker acquired a controlling interest in Pierce-Arrow to compete with Packard, but the company revereted to Pierce-Arrow when Studebaker folded in 1933. In 1936 Pierce-Arrow introduced the Pierce-Arrow Travelodge camping trailer but the company was bankrupt by 1938. | ||
