Ford Company History (Continued from top)
Ford Logo The Ford Motor Company was started by Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, in June of 1903. Ford built the first Model "T" Ford truck in 1917 and by 1960 was thought of as one of the "Big Three", the others being General Motors and Chrysler Corporation. Ford is credited with starting the industrial revolution with his new assembly line method of delivering materials to work stations for the first time. The assembly line improved efficiency and quality but led to the demise of skilled master craftsmen. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
