International Harvester Trucks: In 1902 the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company merged with the Deering Harvester Company to form the International Harvester Company (IH). IH went on to build farm equipment, trucks, buses and a wide variety of construction equipment over the next 75 years.
During the 1980s a labor strike caused IH to sell off many of its divisions and five years later their Truck and Engine division was all that was left. They sold the agricultural division, along with the International Harvester name and "IH" logo to the TennecoI company and named the Truck and Engine division Navistar International.
