Ferrari History: Enzo Ferrari founded the Scuderia Ferrari Company in Italy in 1929 and built race cars exclusively until 1947. Ferrari then sold the street car division to Fiat in 1969 and continued to run the race car division until his death in 1988 at 90 years old. As of 2007 the Fiat Group has had managing control of Ferrari vehicles.
