| This is a 1965 1/2 ton swb stepside truck. I bought this truck and have enjoyed working on it the last two years. This truck has the original 230 6 cylinder engine that was rebuilt in 1978. It has a column shift (3 on the tree) manual transmission. I have completely rewired the truck end to end, retuned the engine, new plugs, filters, starter solenoid, new wheels and tires, parking lights, turn signals, tail lamps, carpet floors and floor mats, dash components, interior dome lamp, sun visor, rear view mirror, and few other things. The truck runs great. When I bought it I actually drove it back home 5 hours cruising 60-65mph. I've been on a few trips in it since driving for an hour or so and it runs great. The story I got when I bought the truck was that it was basically a one owner. The guy I bought it off had it for three months and sold it to me. The original owner had bought the truck new in1965 and drove it on his farm. One day he had decided to get the truck painted burgandy and put it in the shop. While it was in the shop he passed away and the family decided to sell it. Thus sold it to the guy I bought it from who had only owned it for 3 months. And so the story goes...
