2000 VW Roadster Convertible-Radical VW Bug Modification-Original Owner-All Steel-Custom Built over 2 years by Tom LaBouf (Denver) starting with 1956 Beetle reinforced frame with combination Square & Round Tubing, Custom Suspension (Upper & Lower A-arms), with coil-overs in the front and Pro four-link System with Coil-over Shocks in the rear. Modified Karmann Ghia spindles were used in the front, along modified Clevis tie-rods, and a Mustang II Steering box with Custom I-did-it Steering Column. Ghia Disc Brakes, Budnik billet Wheels-7x16-inch front and 9.75x17-inch rear with wide Falken ZE 502 Tires all around. 4-speed manual Tranny. Car, Motor & Tires have only 1,500 miles! Suicided Doors, Custom Front Grill, Hand Formed Sheet Metal Body (No Fiberglass), 2443cc Long Block Motor (from Bernie Bergmann San Jacinto, Calif.), Bergmann 86mm full-circle Crankshaft, Cima 94mm Pistons & Cylinders, Total Seal rings, FK10 camshaft, Bergmann D-port heads with stainless steel 46mm intake and 37.5mm exhaust valves, MSD distributor with 6-AL ignition and a custom polished four-tube manifold. Dual electric cooling fans mounted just above the cylinders powered by a polished GM alternator. Ceramic-coated exhaust system with dual mufflers and custom tips, built around a Berg 1-3/4-inch merged header. Pro Stock transaxle with 3:88:1 ring and pinion and close-ratio GEM gears. Car weight is a little over 1,300 LBS and can do well over 100 MPH!
