The Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicle Company opened in 1914 became a part of Chrysler in 1928, and a part of Daimler-Benz in 1998. The Dodge brothers started out making bearings for Oldsmobile and Ford and by 1914 they were producing a fancy form of the Ford Model T. The Dodge brothers started building trucks for the military in 1917 and sold out to Dillon, Read and Company in 1925, who sold to the Chrysler in 1928. Dodge is now owned by DaimlerChrysler company.
