1936 LaSalle Coupe Alfred Sloan from General Motors wanted to market the LaSalle between the Buick and Cadillac. Harley Earl designed the 1927 LaSalle as a stylish and sleek roadster. It was smaller than the Cadillac and became very popular. However, the Depression killed the vehicle market so only a few thousand upscale LaSalles were made in 1932, and less expensive models followed. The last LaSalle was built in 1939. |
