Here is your chance to own the last year of the Skylark convertibles. GM stopped building them in response to a proposed federal regulation on roll over protection that would have outlawed convertibles, but the ruling never materialized. With only 3,608 Skylark Custom Convertibles made this last year, they have become coveted collectibles for their stylish looks and miniscule production.
The exterior of this Skylark is very straight with beautiful slick blue paint and free of any door dings or scratches. Both underneath and the body show no signs of rust. All glass, chrome trim, grille and bumpers are exceptional. This car is an original survivor and has not been molested or tampered with, no aftermarket anything here. Factory rally wheels and like new tires add to its slick factory appearance.
The interior is in very good condition and the white color is stunning against the blue exterior. Carpet is new and the dash shows almost no age at all. The trunk is fresh and original. The convertible top is excellent with no wear or stains.
The engine is a 350 CI with a Buick automatic transmission. Brakes are power with disc front and drum rear. Other options are AM/FM cassette, tilt wheel, power steering, tinted windows and cold A/C. There can’t be many more cars this rare and as well preserved as this one.
