1965 Contemporary Replica (VIN - CCX-3220). Completed in 1985 and registered as a 1965 Cobra this car is of racing pedigree and will never need to pass a smog inspection. The frame is 4" ladder style manufactured by Contemporary Classics. Powered by a 427 Cl Chevy Big Block with open chamber oval port cylinder heads. Compression ratio set at 11:1. The carburetor is a 4-barrel Holley. A Richmond 4-speed Super T-10 Transmission with "S" ratio (close ratio) shifting transfers 525 horsepower and 450 pound-foot torque to a Jaguar 3.8S custom built rear-end. The wheels are 15" Halibrand knock-offs with Hoosier P275/60D/15 4 Ply Nylon street legal tires. Smith gauges and wooden steering wheel give this car an authentic look, while a slider attached to the drivers seat makes it easy for anyone 5'5" (me) - 6'5" to drive the Cobra in comfort. Rounding out the Cobra is a fuel cell in the rear. The paint shows mild use with minimal chipping. Also included is a convertible soft top with plexi-glass sliding side windows, chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders, and bolt-on straight-through exhaust for track use only. A perfect example of an "Old School Build," just the sound of this classic is sure to turn heads and start conversations wherever you go!
