ORIGINAL VW Kharmann Bodied Super Beetle Convertible.
1979 was the LAST YEAR of the original Super Beetle and the convertible option.
This original color BABY BLUE model is an excellent driver.
It is a straight, classy, light, fast, sporty SUPER BEETLE.
It is CLEAN and was REPAINTED TO ORIGINAL a couple of years ago. WHITE TOP, AND ALL INTERIOR including CARPET are BRAND NEW.
Original manufacture date was AUGUST 1979.
The ARIZONA Certificate of TITLE IS CLEAR.
DETAILS: This car has recently been a regular 'daily driver' and previously in ENCLOSED STORAGE FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS, any upgrades to it's condition would be elective and cosmetic. ie; New front bumper, small paint touchups, WWW tires.
Odometer last showed 72,xxx., and is BELIEVED to be Rotated 1X.
The previous ORIGINAL owner documents prove ownership since NEW in 1979.
The engine was REBUILT at 125,488 miles, which included all main bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, a new crank, rods, lifters, cam, a piston cylinder, exhaust valves, push rod tubes, main seal and engine seal.
Receipts are with the owner documents.
RECENT REPAIRS included ALL NEW BRAKES, NEW FUEL PUMP, Cleaned and adjusted Air Box, All Fluids and filter changed.
This LITTLE BEAUTY starts, stops and runs at 65 MPH just fine.
The body is very nice. ALL glass is excellent. Window lace moldings should be replaced.
There are TWO thin cracks on the dash which are now protected by a DASH COVER.
Tires are all steel radials but due for change. There is NO visible rust on this CALIFORNIA car and the pan is solid.
This VERY Collectible CABRIOLET SUPER BEETLE will be sold AS IS and WHERE IS. This vehicle is being offered locally and is subject to prior sale from offers made based on NADA price guides. It is our opinion that this UNIQUE SPORTS BUG will offer EXCELLENT APPRECIATION and the expensive upgrades recently performed add significantly to it's overall value. IE: A new top, seats, new chrome REAR bumper.
As sellers, OUR opinion of this vehicle condition is at a minimum, 'AVERAGE' and NADA definition of AVERAGE is: This vehicle would be AT THE MINIMUM, considered VERY GOOD condition overall.
