1946 Ford Fire Engine For Sale

This classic 1946 Ford Fire Truck is so attractive that people stop by and take their picture next to it like they do at the Golden Gate Bridge. It has very little surface rust and has very little body damage In fact the body is heavy steel unlike vehicles made today. It runs great and has a 60's overhead v8 engine so purists would have to replace it with a flathead v8 that it came with originally but with this engine it runs better and is more dependable. It would make a great advertisement for a business (maybe a fire insurance business or a firehouse BBQ restaurant, or maybe a fire extinguisher service company). Mostly it needs a good paint job and if you wanted to do the job right it needs to have all the equiptment it was designed to have replaced. The only repairs it needs are inexpensive things like finding a hydraulic brake leak and putting in a replacement gas tank. Otherwise it runs great and is an incredible piece of machinery. One of the amazing things about this truck and to show how it has been cared for is that it still has the original key for the ignition on the steering column and the same key opens the door lock. Google this vehicle and you'll see how rare it is. Another attractive aspect of this firetruck (in California at least) is that you do not need a special license or endorsement to drive it. I presume because the weight is below modern firetrucks, it can be driven with a normal class c license.
