Description

1967 CUTLASS SUPREME AKA BLUE BELL-“THE SURVIVOR”

ORIGINAL OWNER FROM DETROIT-THE MOTOR CITY WHERE BLUE BELL WAS PURCHASED
DIRECTLY FROM GENERAL MOTORS.

“THE SURVIVOR has never been restored and is on blocks. It is the perfect choice
for the auto hobbyist who wants to bring back the glory of a Motor City Classic - a true “piece of Detroit.” Unleash its power down the highway with pride as you bring Blue Bell “The Survivor” back to glory.

It’s a 2-door sedan with a rare experimental hard top roof coating that work so well that GM decided, “not to use it”. 95% ALL ORIGINAL PARTS molding, and Cutlass Supreme insignias with no aftermarket modifications. Original ignition key along with the vintage driver manuals including the OLDSMOBILE “Protect O Plate” required whenever authorized Olds Dealers preformed warranty service.

HIGHLIGHTS

The 'Supreme' designation means the standard Cutlass model came with some super-sport-like features such as a plusher interior that included a notchback bench seat with armrest, and all-vinyl Strato bucket seats full wheel covers and deluxe door panels among other features. The back seat and truck space is huge.

The Cutlass Supreme 2-door A-body sedan is a classic car from the year that defined the very peak of the muscle-car era: 1967. The graceful, flowing, 'muscular' lines of the fenders, doors and roof defined the modern look of the sedan.

CONDITION:

Interior Rating: 6 out of 10: Everything is original other than the speakers. There is no radio - an 8-track cartridge player was installed but is no longer in the car. And there is a rust inside part of the interior.

Exterior Rating: 5 out of 10: Everything is original. A few small dents with rust in trunk and undercarriage. The body condition is in good shape to bring forth an excellent restoration.

NOTE. The mid level ratings are based on being as transparent as possible. I don’t want anyone thinking they are buying a pristine car however with ingenuity and creativity, this can become one great looking car. Yet honesty is key and hence my own mid level ratings.

DRIVING HISTORY: From 1967 to 1974, “Blue bell” was driven in Detroit. Then in Southern California up to 1985. The car was then garaged until 1995 and then outdoors on blocks and tarp until today.
