If you’re looking for an attention-grabbing car that almost no one else on the street has, look no further than this charming little Nash Metropolitan offered for sale by Blue Marlin Motors USA!
Immediately, the first thing almost anyone will notice about this car is its size. The Metro is small. However, like they say – big things come in small packages, and in this case, small numbers. Only 1216 Metropolitans were made in 1961, and about 20% of them were convertibles. That means that there are fewer than 250 examples that were produced, and who knows how many of them survived.
Fortunately for this car, it was lovingly restored about five years ago thanks to a caring owner in Indiana. The original finish, Mardi Gras Red with Frost White contrast, was maintained. It’s a good thing, too, because the glossy paint shines in the Florida sun and looks spectacular. Custom pinstriping was applied to the car. The drivetrain is original to the car, too. Everything right down to the original Zenith carburetor remains intact and functioning well. This Metropolitan is a joy to drive and to be seen in.
The convertible top has no damage, and the boot cover is intact and undamaged as well. This car looks good with the top up OR down, which is rare for a soft top convertible. The interior was redone in the original pattern and shows no wear. After its restoration, this car was driven sparingly before being passed to the new owner, who only took it out on weekend drives to keep things fresh. The only maintenance that has been required is a quick cleaning of the float bowl.
Now, you, the future owner, can enjoy this restored Nash Metropolitan. Where will you take it on your next adventure? Come visit Blue Marlin Motors USA and start planning that trip today!
