1956 Mercury Monterey Phaeton. Powered with a 210hp 312ciV8 engine and fitted with a Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission, this 4 door hardtop luxury sedan has undergone a total frame-on restoration. All chrome and stainless trim has been brought back to original condition or better, the interior has been restored to pristine original condition, all mechanical components have been checked and restored or replaced where necessary, the engine compartment has been correctly detailed and the beautiful 2 toned salmon and ivory body has been restored to better than new with the use of coatings that will ensure a long lasting finish. The original wide whitewall bias ply tires have been replace with new high quality Dayton wide whitewall radials for improved safety and handling. the list of options include power steering , automatic transmission, dual exhaust, radio, a continental kit, fender skirts, whitewall tires and tinted glass.
This car is a very collectible example of a fairly rare, relatively low mileage (136,000 miles)very original numbers matching vehicle that has been properly preserved.
