Description
Superb condition car; 56,000 original miles; my daily driver is a 1988 Lincoln Town Car and I always wanted to have a Mark V; after a long search found the one I wanted – one owner car (original owner was a Lincoln factory manager and his retirement car) and spent the good money I knew it worth it to be. Was to be a keeper. The color combination is absolutely beautiful. Car was garaged for 8 years and non-op. Everything was original on the car, paint, interior, carpet, headliner etc. Due to non-op I spend about 14 hrs detailing and cleaning it up (I do those things for therapy :)) and spent all the money needed to make it perfect, have about $7k in receipts. Original 400 cubic inch (6.6 L) Cleveland V-8 engine & 2BBL carb, original automatic 3 speed transmission.

Work done:

New tires – less than 200 miles

New shocks less than 200 miles

New rear coils- less than 200 miles

New brakes front and rear-less than 100 miles

Front wheel alignment - less than 200 miles

Carburetor overhaul

New ignition module

New battery

New spark plugs

Oil change

Transmission oil change

Radiator fluids changed

Some new hoses

new battery

New wipers

New fuel sensor

L &R door actuators

A/C is converted to R134 – recharged and blows cold

Original replacement radio – not installed yet

Driver seat cushion and back refoam

Both left and right door armrests redone

both front seats back parts new

New safety belt retainers

Original key set

Some of the interior door parts, seat rear parts and safety belt retainers were brittle and I looked long to find those parts. Spent some good money on them, have receipts. Wanted to sell the used interior parts above mentioned on ebay but will include with car.

Am an LCOC member and really try to have the nicest cars possible. Only thing the car needs is: radio installed (bought replacement one), clock works but intermittently, driver mirror glass loose ($50 to fix) and right rear chrome is dented but only noticeable if you look for it. Car has original paint with some stone chips and minor scratches; I left it all that way as to keep the car original. See pictures. Car is absolutely rust free except for two small surface rust areas around the top vinyl, see pictures. Left front seat with its nice patina original.

Car drives majestically, shifts smooth, brakes perfect and feels like new. Everything works. Incredible chrome all around. Exterior paint is in beautiful condition with mirror reflections. All P/W, P/B, A/C, P/A, C/C, P/D. No crack in beautiful dash. Comes with original manuals, brochure , color chart and even original owner Lincoln plaque. Flawless vinyl top. All good seals all around. Comes with tools and tool cover. Headlights function properly with no vacuum leak. Turbo fan wheels in very nice condition with chrome caps. Heater works great. 60/40 leather/vinyl interior with correct series buttons. Full size spare tire. 100% lazer straight and accident free panels. Beautiful body side moldings. Remote mirrors right and left hand side. Original floor mats.

Unfortunately need to sell the car as I need the space – the kids are moving back in, something I did not count on. Have about $14,800 in the car but need to let it go with a bleeding heart. Compare to others on the market with same or higher mileage and repaint etc selling for $15k to $19K. Again, am sorry to let it go but this can be your gain to get a car that really needs nothing and is ready to drive and show. Have clear title in hand. Ask for more pictures and copies of repairs documented.

Have your inspection contractor inspect the car or make an appointment to see and drive it. Will also be happy to refer car shippers and assist you on loading the car.

Thanks for looking.
