Located in Fayetteville, AR. 1966 Mustang Convertible--high performance construction inspired by the article shown in the photo from the December 1980 issue of Hot Rod. The car has been driven less than 500 miles after renovation. The 289 was rebuilt complete with the original Shelby solid lifter camshaft custom ground by Comp Cams. It has hedders, Holly, and an Edelbrock intake. The transmission is the top loader Ford 4-speed complete with Hurst linkage. It has been rebuilt. The rear end is 9 inch with new 4:11 gears. The suspension is completely new---springs, A-arms, tie rods, ball joints, shackles and shocks. The front brakes are new--disc conversion with power booster. The rear brakes are new original design. The convertible top hydraulic cylinders are new. The upholstery is new. The rear seat was totally disassembled and springs media-blasted and treated with rust reformer. The paint is new Matrix base coat/clear coat. The clear coat has been wet-sanded and compounded. All weather strippings are new. The wheels are genuine Ford steelies while the tires are 6.75/14 belted bias. The rear quarters and floor boards on passenger side were replaced. The fuel tank is new as are the fuel line and pump.
