1912 Ford Model "T" Torpedo Convertible (Black)- Rare Treasure Completely Restored. This was the only Sports model of the "T"s - only a very few of these were made in 1910, 1911, 1912. At this time, only 3 fully restored, in addition to this one are in existence today, according to our information. This car is beautifully restored with original parts. The pistons are authentic reproduction parts. 3rd owner of this auto which was purchased July 9, 1997 & completely restored in 2 1/2 years using an original paint color for 1912 Torpedo. It is in prime running condition and everything works as it did in 1912. Engine No.116716; Body/Serial No. 105700. It runs on magneter with AC current. It cranks with a front hand crank: no starter. Built with magnets on the fly wheel. The lights run off of acetylene. Steering wheel has two levers: left lever for spark and right lever for the acelerator. This Torpedo has won over 20 trophies.
