According to the current owner, this Corvette is combination of original with some cosmetic and mechanical improvements over the years.Acquired by the current owner from a Corvette dealer about 5 years ago, we don't know all the details of what has been done, what follows is what we do know. The odometer shows 43,000 miles and is believed to be correct and based on the overall condition we would agree, but the car is being sold as exempt because of the age. The body appears to be original with what looks to be a very high quality professional repaint. The 427/425 HP engine was rebuilt to factory specifications in 2007 and does have the vin number stamped on the engine pad. The original rear end was replaced years ago with one from the 70's, but the 4-speed transmission looks to be original with the ID number stamped on the underside. The under carriage is in very nice original condition with some maintenance items installed as needed. The interior is incredible, it looks all original with some VERY MINOR wear and slightly faded carpeting. Is this a #1 quality trailer queen? No it is not and the owner is not going to take it to that level. This will not be an inexpensive car, but will not be priced like some of the recent sales of 427/425HP Corvettes.
