Description

This 1963 Buick Wildcat Convertible was sold new by the Young Buick dealership in Tucson, Arizona. Based on the original paper dealer tag located on the door jamb, the first owner was a B.H. Carmack. It is believed the car spend the bulk of its life in Arizona before coming to Michigan in the 1980s. The mileage indicated is just under 30,000 and based on the condition of the car, is likely to be original.

This is a mostly original and extremely well preserved car. It received one repaint about 20 year ago. Today, the white paint shows extremely well. The body is super straight and solid. The floor pans, trunk pans, door bottoms, fenders, etc show no signs of damage or repair, nor do they ever appear to have been removed from the body. The paint has a great overall look to it with an even gloss on all of the panels. The fit and finnish is extremely nice and the body lines are very crisp. The interior is believed to be original and shows hardly any wear. It is extremely clean and well kept. The top covering was replaced and is still in extremely nice condition. The dash assembly, glass, etc are all very nice. The trunk still has its original matting which shows wear but new matting is included. The chrome and stainless are in excellent condition.

Mechanically, this car is an absolute pleasure to drive. It starts easily, idles well, and makes plenty of power. The transmission is smooth, the brakes are responsive and stop the car square, the steering is precise and accurate. The car has always been mechanically serviced and carefully used. Recently, it has benefitted from a new master cylinder, power brake booster and exhaust. All of the gauges work properly with the exception of the gas gauge which is inaccurate. The car rides on slightly later Buick wheels with newer tires.

This car is extremely well equipped including factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power top, power windows, tachometer, power trunk release, cornering lights and a tissue box. The car currently has a newer radio but the original radio is included. All of the options work properly.

This is a great looking car that looks right from all angles. It was always a well cared for car. Although it is mostly original, it shows extremely well inside and out. When you look underneath, you can tell that nothing is being hidden or covered up. This car is ready to be shown or driven with confidence. VIN# 6J8005965. Priced realistically at 24,500.00 or very near offers. It is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is being sold with clear and current title.
