Being offered for sale is a gorgeous reproduction of an original 1935 Auburn Boat Tail Speedster. This one-owner fiberglass bodied Auburn was custom-built by the owner in 1981 to embody the true essence of why the Auburn was known for its advanced engineering, performance, and beautiful style. The rich and famous from all over the world owned these cars; they were a symbol of success.

Details:

Exterior: Exterior: The body was mounted on a fabricated Ford LTD frame with a new cross member and side rails. Paint is original done in lacquer. Full Convertible Top with side curtains.

Interior: The custom interior is excellent condition. It was recently upgraded with buckets seats replacing the original bench seat (available with the car). The dash is fitted with beautiful burl wood inserts, classic instruments and an AM/FM Stereo Cassette player and chrome heater underneath. Power steering, power front disc brakes and a tilt steering column and wheel round out the comfortable interior.

Engine and Driveline: Power is by a Ford 429 cu. in./330 hp engine with a Ford C6 automatic transmission. The Ford 8.8 in. rear end is equipped with a 4.3:1 ratio gear set. Suspension is courtesy of a full-size Ford LTD. NEW 23 gal. gas tank and 2 1/2" exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.

Wheels and Tires: True Spoke Wire wheels with Auburn hub caps and wide whitewalls.
